Baby Taylor Koa Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Taylor Baby Taylor koa acoustic-electric guitar is an instrument built for anyone, with a 3/4-scale Dreadnought body shape and a limited-edition Hawaiian koa top. Solid Hawaiian koa is a hardwood that produces a natural compression, yielding more of a controlled "roll-in" effect to a note, and evening out a lively attack for a more balanced response. It delivers strong fundamentals with clear and direct focus—similar to mahogany—but with extra top-end shimmer and chime.

The arched back of the Baby Taylor generates more sound from the smaller body size, and using layered koa for the back and sides creates a sturdy yet receptive platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is also less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice if you travel with your instrument or require more more durability.

For additional amplification, the Baby Taylor includes the Taylor ES-B system, which incorporates piezo design elements from their flagship ES2 system. Powered by a 9V battery, its onboard preamp includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, and a tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. Additional appointments to the Baby Taylor include a sapele neck, African ebony fingerboard and bridge, chrome tuners and a Nubone nut. Comes with a Taylor deluxe Baby gig bag.
