OVERVIEW

Rich low end with quick response.

The LL16M is an all-solid wood guitar with hand-selected premium-grade materials. This solid mahogany Back/Side variation is a perfect choice for players who are looking for more power and warmth.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)
A.R.E. is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.

New Designed Bracing Pattern
A modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L series' characteristic bright tone while enhancing low-end tone.

High Comfortable Traditional Neck Profile
A reevaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper led to a new neck shape that better fits today's traditional players. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.

5-Ply Necks
The 5-ply neck of mahogany and rosewood designed with a volute at the headstock plus a double action adjustable rod creates a neck with excellent strength and stability.

SRT Zero Impact Pickups
The SRT Zero Impact Pickup system is a newly developed passive type pickup configuration designed to minimize the pickup's impact on the tone and traditional appearance of the instrument. The system utilizes individual piezoelectric elements for each string to faithfully reproduce the dynamic sound of the L Series and give the instrument outstanding presence when playing in a band.

Comments about Yamaha LL16M L Series Solid Mahogany/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After sampling many guitars this one spoke to me from the very first strum. I have played Martins and Taylors and I fully believe this guitar is right up there with the "big" names but at one-half the price. I am very pleased with my decision and others who are more skilled than I marvel at its tonal quality and construction.

Comments about Yamaha LL16M L Series Solid Mahogany/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar at a local music store and to tell you the truth it blew me away. I couldn't believe the sound I was getting from this guitar. I have played Taylors and Martins that cost over 2 times as much as this guitar and this guitar is equal to some of them and even better than some. I don't know how they do the A.R.E. stuff, but it really works. I ordered one from M. friend and it even sounds better than the one I played in my local store. The pick-up system is excellent it is very clear and natural sounding. Playability is right up there with Taylor. The case is nice too. If you have to have Taylor or Martin on your headstock then go ahead and put out a lot more money on a guitar. If you don't then make one of the best buys you'll ever make and pick up one of these guitars. I promise you, you wont be sorry. And the next time you play the guitar around some of your friends that paid a lot of money for that Taylor, you might have them asking why. And that's the truth.

Comments about Yamaha LL16M L Series Solid Mahogany/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have played and repaired all my life, I have owned Martins, Seagulls, vintage Wash-burns (all within the last 5 years) in order to do some home recording of folk material. This Yamaha is the BEST OF THE LOT! Great neck, VERY consistent neck and action, good quality and fit. I am amazed that Yamaha can get this quality from a Chinese factory...it is probably because Yamaha sets up it own factory and uses Japanese quality control standards.
I put on new medium gauge regular bronze strings, added a bone nut and INSTANT great sound. Full, rich, balanced, just bright enough, makes me want to pick it up and play ($2000 Martin was bass heavy and dull, Wash-burn had an impossible neck).
COST... I got this as an open box deal from MI, under 500 green backs. WHOLE LOT OF GUITAR, BABY!

wanna help spread the word-what a fantastic instrument ! tone and looks-wise,right up there with taylor and martin, and in my opinion, far superior sounding than many of those instruments costing twice as much. this guitar has it all, rich low end, resonant mids sparkling highs and tons of volume and sustain.sounds great plugged in as well, and even a nice hardshell case! forget that its made in china, with this kind of quality at thjs price point, this is an unmatched bargain. buy this guitar, you wont be disappointed !!
