This is a nice digital piano for the price. It has a lot of cool MIDI sounds to choose from. It is also good for arranging parts on a recording since you can plug directly into a recording device. My only complaint is that the action of the keys is not as responsive as I would like, but I'm saying this as a classical pianist that is used to the dynamics of a real piano. Overall though it is an excellent instrument.

This piano is a beautiful piece of furniture... but that is all. I was so impressed upon opening the package. The finish is better then most name brand pianos. However, we had to guess how to assemble the piano. The instructions were very limited with a single photo and numbers to show where screws went.
The sound was absolutely horrible. Imagine cupping your hands over the speakers and playing. The sound was VERY poor. A child's toy piano sounds tremendously better than this instrument. If you are an experienced pianist at all, even an experienced beginner, you will not like this piano. The touch sensitivity to this piano is terrible. I have been playing piano for over 20 years, and I understand that cheaper instruments like this one cannot compare to reputable brands like Yamaha, but Williams should take these pianos off the market until they can make an instrument that sounds decent.

Comments about Williams Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
I am not in any way a professional pianist. However, I was looking for a digital piano to enjoy in my home and for my kids to play and learn on. Digital seems like a great option since it never needs to be tuned and can have a nice sound in a smaller package. I also wanted a nice looking piece of furniture for my house.
I played the Williams Rhapsody and Williams Overture pianos at Guitar Center. While they look decent enough, the key beds on them don't feel anything like a real piano. Not even close. They feel like plastic keys on a keyboard.
This may be a decent offering for many, but if you are looking for something that will be a realistic replacement for an acoustic piano, this is going to end up sitting on craigslist for a long time...
Comments about Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
A nice sounding piano, this coming from something less than a good pianist. I bought this to
Replace a Casio Celviano which had mysteriously gone south in tone. It has a nice rich grand piano
Sound, and the action is good to my standards. We have to keep in mind the good price also. Also
The case of the piano is a rich lustrous black and it was fairly easy to put together, packed very well.

Comments about Williams Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
We have a small church not much money, this was a good replacement for our old piano that went bad. Our piano player is 87 years young and it was worth the price to see her eyes light up when she played it. It has a beautiful tone and she says it has the feel of an acoustic and she loves it.

Comments about Williams Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
This is a beautiful digital piano. It looks and sounds great. Easy to use and pretty easy to get to all the sounds. Easy to transpose. The keys are weighted and have the feel of a real piano.
What I don't like is that when I plug a cable into the mono out, I thought it should disable the internal speakers, but they continue to play. I can live with it, but thought it odd. Another con is that you can't save settings. Such as if I found a layered sound I like, I can't save that to come back to it another day. I have to remember how to set it again. Final dislike - the modesty panel doesn't block the view to the knees, which is my definition of where the modesty panel should block the view to. otherwise they shouldn't call it a modesty panel, but just a frame panel.

Comments about Williams Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
Most comments I found about this Piano stated that there were some technical issues with the instrument only a few days after acquiring it. I've been playing with it a couple hours a day for the last week and have had no issues. It's pretty to look at and fun to play! The speakers aren't the best, but there is a convenient headphone port with a rack mounted to the left underside of the instrument, and there are jacks in the back to buy and use different speakers which I will do soon. A bench is not included so you will have to buy one separately. Preinstalled sounds are fun to mess with and the built in metronome and USB port will make learning to play on this piano easy and fun. Only other complaint is that the black finish picks up dust, dirt and dog/cat hair like crazy, so make sure you dust it off everyday or two to keep it looking beautiful.

After researching a few other pianos and trying them at local music shops. I bought the "Williams Overture 2" for my son.
I was looking for a great piano were he can play music, and listen to other songs from it (on midi). It's wonderful and for the price compare to others you cannot beat the quality design and feel of the weighted keys. Sounds great looks great works great and most important my son loves it.

Purchased the electronic piano for our daughter. She is taking lessons and we wanted something that was sleek, modern, and useful. The Williams Overture 2 is all that we could want in a piano. Our daughters instructor could not believe how well the piano sounds, responds, and the ease of use vs. a traditional piano. Thanks Musiciansfriend.com!

For the money, this is an excellent Piano. I'm sure a Professional would find some faults, but for our Home and Family Use, it is a wonderful instrument. Beautiful sound, Keys feel good, and the finish is terrific! Looks Great in the Living Room, like a fine piece of furniture. Assembly was easy, did it alone but two people would be better as it is pretty heavy. My wife is very happy! We are just learning, but a friend is an experienced player and she was very impressed with this Piano. She played some Beautiful Classical Music on it.

Comments about Williams Overture 2 88-Key Console Digital Piano:
Look, it's not a Steinway Grand Piano - you have to understand this fact straight away. It's a very, very good instrument for a music room, which is where I put mine. My two teenage girls absolutely love "fiddling" with it and I am giving them lessons on it. It looks amazing - just for the furniture value alone, it's worth it. You just get a lot of bang for the buck here. Highly recommended.
