Hey, this is a ornamant people, not a vintage time piece! It functions just fine as a clock should because the Japanese movement is the same you would get in any 30 dollar clock. I have had not a problem with it. Yes...you have to put it together correctly as far as the pendulum goes, like anything that swings it needs to be balanced. I placed it on the wall several days ago, gave it a swing and checked it for the swing arc. I had to adjust the body portion slightly to balance it, that's all I had to do. It has been swinging ever since and actually keeping fairly accurate time. Yeah...it's a bit on the cheap side but what do you expect? This is an ornament and that is all it is, it just happens to double as a clock that actually works. I see people are upset with this and I can't understand why? So here are the easy to follow steps...set it up...balance it and give it a swing....anybody can do it. I am more than happy with it and it looks great in the music room. If I wanted a Howard Miller...I would have bought a Howard Miller...but I wanted something a little different and about 2,500 dollars less. I happen to be knowledgable in the clock area and I gather this thing will probably outlast many of my amps and other electronic equipment. The price is a little high but hey, you get a cool guitar clock and it does look good on the wall. Enough said, try it...you might like it. If you don't you are out a few bucks. No big deal.

I'm fairly disappointed with this product. I bought one each of the sunburst, red, and blue. I thought I could use one in my classroom, but my students would tear it apart faster than I can assemble it. That's one of the disappointments - you have to assemble it! It's thin, cheap plastic with a decal of a picture of a guitar. I also thought from the description it would be much larger. While it's not a TOTAL piece of junk, I'm not going to hold my breath on how long it lasts. I'm not sure yet whether the blue one, which I bought for my den, will go on the wall or not. It's not at all what I expected. It's worse.

I have never been more upset about a product in my life! It looks wonderful on line and then when I got it, it basically sucked. I am just really upset, this is a birthday present, and I feel cheap giveing it-it looks cheap and crappy!

Unless it's for your child...don't bother

By manda40475

I bought two of the Sunburst wall clocks and they were a complete dissappointment. They are neat looking because the decal is like a photo of a real guitar. Otherwise, it's thin and mediocre at best. Certainly not worth even the sale price I purchased them for. I will be returning both clocks and taking the loss on s&h. I would not recommend buying one of these for your home unless you're just a guitar afficiando and want to use it for a deco or music room.

Guitar Clock leaves much to be desired

By Still hoping for a quality guitar clock!

from Undisclosed

I received this clock as a birthday gift after seeing it in the catalog. I was excited someone made a guitar clock with a swinging neck as a pendulum. I must say I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the material it is constructed of. I would rate this product as worse than the Elvis swinging legs clock! It's junk! Don't buy it! (I'll be returning the clock immediately)...

Guitar Clock

By chadman

Clock works fine although I used 1 nail to hang it, the adhesive tape would never hold. Must be perfectly balanced to keep swinging which was my first mistake. Clock does what its suppose to do, for the money its a excellent investment

Not what it seems

By Tick Tock

from Salt Lake City

I bought one of these for myself and my dad. I thought they looked so cool and would look perfect in his 60's bar. When they were delivered I was very dissapointed. They look alot thicker in the picture, but what I received was a piece of cardboard with what seemed like was a sticker that looked like a guitar on a cutout piece of cardboard. The pendulum attached to the back very cheaply and always stops swinging so you have to give it a push. It still does look good in his bar and I guess for the price I really can't complain. It just looked alot better in the pictures.

Nice little clock

By MoBassdude

from Lincoln, NE

I just got my clock in the mail. I assembled it during my lunch hour at work and hung it in my office. It looks and works great so far. I catch myself staring at the clock more......it's a nice looking display, kind of wish that I had ordered a second one for my music room.
