Guitar Hero World Tour expands on Guitar Hero's signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines advanced wireless controllers with revolutionary online and offline modes. Besides the Band Career mode there's also an 8-player Battle of the Bands mode which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online. The game features a slick guitar controller, drum kit controller, and microphone.

Delivering incredible depth and diversity, Guitar Hero World Tour features some of the most prolific artists of all time”including Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Van Halen, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Michael Jackson, and more. It's also got plenty of bands who have emerged more recently on the scene such as Paramore, At The Drive-In, Rise Against, and 30 Seconds to Mars. The video game spans over 40 years of rock history and features 86 tracks, including original "duel" songs by Ted Nugent and Zakk Wylde, that are comprised entirely of master recordings.

The video game also features an innovative Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit, and share their own rock 'n' roll anthems. Music creators will also be able to share their recordings with their friends online through GHTunes where other Guitar Hero gamers can download and play an endless supply of unique creations.
