Comments about Fishman BP-100 Double Bass Pickup:
I could not get any good sounds out of this pickup, no matter what I did with it. The instructions tell you to sand down a flat spot on the top of the bridge and clip them there and I got absolutely no tone, it was a very dull thin sound and you could hear evry little movement on the strings. There was nothing i could change about the tone either, and its vers squirly w/ feedback, any more than a little push in your sound and you're in for a terrible time. invest in something better...
Comments about Fishman BP-100 Double Bass Pickup:
This pickup did nothing for me that I liked. It seems to only pickup the higher registers that are already audiable. It is super sensitive, but useless on a bass.

Comments about Fishman BP-100 Double Bass Pickup:
It is very high end sensitive. What I did to get that really deep bottom end that I like is to clip the first pad on the out side of the E string and the second pad between the E and the A string. There will still be enough high end to pick up the G. I also put heavy tape over the f-holes to compress the sound, preventing low end feedback, and wolfing. A good preamp will help a lot and the amp you use makes a big difference of course. It seems to eat a lot of power, so beef it up. I got this thing a long time ago, and it hasn't broke, and it's a cinch to install. I want to get something better, but it has served me well.
