The Peavey Vypyr Series of modeling guitar amplifiers represents the most highly evolved, versatile and adaptable breed of modeling amps yet to roam the earth. Featuring twice the processing power, virtual amp models and effects as comparable species, the Vypyr line offers a dazzling array of tonal variations, including both clean and distortion channels from 12 classic amps, 11 user-editable stomp box effects, and 11 editable post-amp rack-style effects with dual-parameter control, with the ability to use up to five effects simultaneously. The Vypyr line features Peavey's patented TransTube modeling technology for tons of rich, warm tube-y tone, combined with true 32-bit floating point SHARC processors and an easy-to-use, WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Interface, making it a breeze to dial in killer tones on the fly. The optional Sanpera I and Sanpera II MIDI foot controllers greatly increase the Vypyr's versatility, offering expression-pedal-powered volume, wah and pitch-shifting functions, as well as other goodies like tap tempo and looper control, depending on model. Perhaps the most astounding development comes in the form of the Vypyr V.I.P (Variable Instrument Performance) models, which for the first time have been designed to handle bass guitar and acoustic guitar, in addition to electric! Now you can switch from your acoustic guitar to your electric axe, then throw down some rumbling bass lines, all with the same amp - a true innovation, and something that has never been available before! Vypyr amps range in size from small, garter snake varieties like the 7-watt Nano Vypyr, all the way up to the beefier Vypyr Tube 120, in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit your jamming needs. The Nano Vypyr, for instance, is a highly portable little beauty with a full complement of effects and an 8 speaker in a10 tilt-back enclosure that can be powered with either four D-cell batteries or AC current, with mic input, MP3/CD/AUX input, MIDI In/Out, and USB computer interface, for eye-popping tone for jamming or recording, in a package you can take anywhere, and at a price that won't break the bank. Larger cousins include the Vypyr 15, 30, 60, 75, 100 and 120-watt models, in cabinets loaded with either a custom-voiced 8 speaker (Vypyr 15), a 1x12 (Vypyr 30, 60, and 75 models) or 2x12 (Vypyr 100 and 120 models), or the Vypyr 30 and 120 head units. The Vypyr V.I.P. 1, 2 and 3 models kick things up a notch, with more power, effects, and amp and instrument models; and a bi-directional USB interface for updating your recording or updating your tones (although all your effect settings, amp models and parameter controls can be tweaked without connecting to your computer, unlike some other modeling amps). The Vypyr V.I.P. 1 is a 20-watt terror with specially-designed 8 speaker in an acoustically ported semi-closed back that can morph from electric to acoustic to bass duties and back again in the time it takes to switch axes! The Vypyr V.I.P. 2 pushes 40 watts through a 12 speaker, and offers 10 instrument models, including acoustic simulators, 12-string, mandolin, baritone, resonator, electric violin and bass! The V.I.P. 3 boasts PowerSponge variable power technology, so you can rock from 1 to 100 watts to adjust your volume to any playing situation! These amps are truly revolutionary - order your Peavey Vypyr today, and uncoil some serious tone!
