Antelope Audio’s Discrete 4 Microphone Preamp Interface brings a new level of sound quality and power to home studios and mobile recordists. It comes with 4 console-grade 6-transistor discrete preamps, 121 dB dynamic range conversion and rock solid clocking. Discrete 4 features all of the Antelope Audio premier real-time FPGA FX, including authentic models of iconic gear from BAE, Lang, Gyraf Audio and more.

Included in the bundle is the Edge modeling microphones, which is suited for real-time mic preamp modeling. Combined with the acclaimed Antelope Audio FPGA Vintage Compressors and EQs, this bundle ushers in a new era for modern recording.

The Edge Large-Condenser Modeling Microphone
Edge is an exquisite large-diaphragm microphone that allows users to reproduce the expressiveness and character of expensive classic microphones. When combined with one of Antelope’s Discrete interfaces, this mic can be made to sound like the Neumann U87, Telefunken ELA M 251, Royer R-122, or AKG C12 VR, among other models. 

Additionally, as a standalone microphone, Edge is a smooth-sounding condenser that features a dual-capsule design with the electrical lead attached to the edge of the diaphragm. This design, found in many coveted vintage microphones, produces a flattering, natural response and smooth sound.

Premium FX Pack and FPGA Accusonic 3D Modeling Engine
The Premium FX pack that comes with this bundle allows you to employ the full studio power of the Antelope Audio real-time FPGA FX. The collection features authentic models of iconic studio units from BAE, Gyraf Audio, LANG and FET. With the Premium FX pack, you can use 16 instances of each EQ, compressor and AuraVerb; plus 4 instances of each guitar amp and cabinet models. This Premium library features 50 plus real-time FPGA FX.

Inside the Discrete 4 FPGA Accusonic 3D modeling engine you can transform the signal from both Edge and Verge into vintage replicas, giving you complete control over proximity effect, off-axis response and polar patterns.
