    The ATW-2129a Lav Wireless System

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-2129a 2000 Series Lav Wireless System:

The features of the ATW-2129a are great. It has 10 channels to choose from and the unit has an automatic feature that will annalize the channels in your area and select the one with the lease interference. If you have a second one like I do, then the second unit detects the first unit and will not choose that channel for receiving.

The unit also features gain and volume controls and provides a digital readout for AV and channel selection.

IMPORTANT! You must verify which unit will work in the geographical area where you need to use it. There are different sub-models like D and I. Musician's Friend will help you figure it out by calling the manufacture with you. It turns out that both D and I will work in my area in Chicago so I bought 2 d's and 1 I.
I had purchased other equipment to save money. Bad move. Lets face it money, or cost per unit, is important and a major buying factor. I needed at minimum 3 lav bodypacks with microphones. After a lot of looking I settled on the ATW-2129a Lav Wireless System and it is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

The signal strength is high and the volume is so high that I have to really turn down the gain and volume on the bodypack so as not to blow out the mixer. I can level the Lav's to a great sound no matter who is wearing it. Also, get this, the same voice bodypack may be used for an instrument! There is a gain control strictly for instruments as well as one for voice. Fantastic!

So, I have 3 of these units and all are impresive right out of the box. BUY ONE IF YOU NEED IT. Don't worry if you travel, these units have up to 10 channels to select from on the fly do you will have little chance of not getting it to work.

Last thought, Buy from Musician's Friend and you cannot go wrong! They have stood by me thick and thin and don't give up on service and quality of people. They rate a Fantastic 10 both in their sales department and in their customer service dept.
Yes, it deserves a ten. Straight out of the box the units performed with unexpected levels of gain and volume. After adjusting the internal controls of the bodypack and those on my Mackie 1642 the sound is sweet and true.

You cannot ask for anything better. These folks did a wonderful job in design and function.
It is great, what else to say except if you are looking for value vs. cost, then this is the system for you! I certainly was for me. I won't give these guys up for anything. In fact, I am saving up to buy a fourth unit.
