Comments about EastWest Goliath:

I expected to enhance my collection of virtual instruments, but it seems like more overlap for what I have, and not as much new things as I would have liked. And lacking in some areas......to give an example, Latin Percussion---less instruments than I expected. No 12-string guitar, to name another. So not as "comprehensive" as one would initially think. But on the other hand, they have some things I didn't expect, such as Tibetan instruments.

Some of the guitar samples are interesting. The organs are very good, across the board. Accordion is better sounding than what I had already. Most of the wind instruments run from fair to excellent, with one notable exception, the baritone sax.........certainly is lacking something.......sounds closer to a cello than a sax. The choirs are also a major disappointment----expected much better.

Goliath is a great collection for someone that bought a MIDI controller keyboard, and wanted a variety of sounds. But for the rest of us that are beyond "entry level", it falls way short of expectations.

One additional note.......they tell you it takes 12 hours to download. Mine took about thirteen and a half. So allow yourself ample time to download those files. And you need Ilok, too, for the download.
