Overview

The crest of a new wave in professional audio processing.

Eventide’s H9000 Harmonizer multi-effects processor stands at the center of modern studio and live effects processing. Powered by the upgraded Gen2 platform, the H9000 uses four quad-core ARM processors driving 16 DSP engines to handle the most demanding effects processing tasks. With more than 1,600 algorithms and hundreds of customizable FX chains, the processor provides an expansive library of classic and contemporary effects ranging from pitch shifting and modulation to reverb, delay and advanced sound design tools. Full 96kHz compatibility across all algorithms ensures high-resolution processing throughout the signal path. Whether used for multitrack studio production, front-of-house mixing or immersive audio environments, the H9000 Harmonizer delivers the processing depth and routing flexibility required by professional engineers and producers.

Gen2 DSP Architecture With Massive Processing Power

At the core of the H9000 is Eventide’s upgraded Gen2 processing platform, built around four quad-core ARM processors that power 16 dedicated DSP engines. This architecture delivers double the processing capability of the original H9000 while maintaining the stability and reliability required for professional environments. The expanded computing power allows complex multi-effect chains to run simultaneously while maintaining low latency and pristine audio quality. Full 96kHz support across every algorithm ensures the processor integrates seamlessly into high-resolution recording and mixing workflows, making it suitable for demanding studio sessions, broadcast environments and large-scale live productions.

1,600+ Algorithms Including Classic Eventide Effects

The H9000 offers one of the largest effects libraries available in a dedicated processor, with more than 1,600 algorithms covering pitch shifting, modulation, delay, reverb, filtering and advanced sound design. Engineers gain immediate access to iconic Eventide effects such as the Instant Flanger, Instant Phaser, Omnipressor and the SP2016 Reverb, along with presets derived from the legendary H3000 Harmonizer. The processor also includes meticulously modeled vintage studio effects such as Bouquet Delay, Head Space tape delay emulation and EvenVibe modulation. Together these algorithms provide both historic Eventide sounds and modern DSP tools capable of shaping everything from subtle mix enhancement to experimental textures.

FX Chains and Flexible Signal Routing

The H9000’s FX Chains architecture allows engineers to design custom signal paths tailored to each production. Users can chain up to four algorithms within a single FX chain while running up to 16 algorithms simultaneously across the processor. Flexible routing options make it possible to build complex processing structures for instruments, vocals or full mixes. A virtual patchbay system enables any input to be routed to any output, allowing engineers to construct sophisticated routing configurations for studio tracking, live sound or post-production environments. This modular design transforms the H9000 from a simple effects unit into a powerful multi-effects processing hub.

SIFT Technology and Advanced Granular Effects

Eventide’s proprietary SIFT technology—Spectral Instantaneous Frequency Tracking—drives the H9000’s advanced pitch-processing capabilities, enabling precise polyphonic pitch shifting and harmonic manipulation. Algorithms such as Polyphony, Prism Shift and PolySynth expand the possibilities for sound design and musical processing. The processor also incorporates advanced granular effects including Cosmic Web, Glitch, GrainMod and Stutter, which generate reverse grain delays, rhythmic stutter effects and evolving textures for experimental sound creation. In addition, the Harmonizer+ vocal processing suite introduces studio-grade vocal algorithms including VocalShift, VocalTune and Quadravox+ for sophisticated vocal processing and pitch manipulation.

Extensive I/O, Modular Expansion and Emote Control

Designed to integrate into complex production systems, the H9000 supports up to 128 channels of simultaneous signal processing and provides extensive connectivity for studio and live environments. The processor includes eight channels of analog audio I/O, 16-channel USB audio and digital connectivity through AES/EBU, ADAT and S/PDIF formats. Optional expansion cards add network audio and direct integration with Dante, MADI and Pro Tools HD systems. Eventide’s Emote control software provides complete remote management of the processor via Mac or Windows applications or as plug-ins for AAX, AU and VST3 formats. With its modular architecture, extensive connectivity and powerful DSP platform, the Eventide H9000 Harmonizer multi-effects processor stands as a flagship solution for engineers seeking advanced rackmount effects processing.
