David Jones Mix It Volume 1

Mix It, like the David Jones Drums, contains drum samples recorded over the full length of a song, then cut up and divided into intros, verses, choruses, and endings. But with Mix It, the original tracks have been maintained, allowing you to mix and process the drum samples to your own personal taste. Each song includes 4 mono tracks (hi-hats, kick, snare, ride) and 2 stereo tracks (toms and overheads). All the parts have been logically named to allow for easy identification and grouping. Mix It is a practical and easy way to get inspiring drums into your next project.

The Wav, REX2, and Acidized hits are broken down into 5 styles:
¢Ballad: Recorded at 70BPM and played in the style of current pop ballad hits, including odd phrase lengths and power drum fills.
¢BusyBoy: Recorded at 87BPM with a busy snare rhythm, it's reminiscent of the style used by Shawn Mullins, Matchbox 20, and Oasis.
¢Uptempo: Recorded at 120BPM, this is one fast, mean, and aggressive group, with big drum fills and off-beat patterns. It includes many choices of intros, choruses, and verses.
¢PopSound: Recorded at 90BPM, it's a more gentle approach, with emphasis on the bass drum and hi-hat patterns, similar to the styles of Corrs and Natalie Imbruglia.
¢StraightAhead: Recorded at 116BPM and designed to keep it nice and simple, this sample library emphasizes on strong backbeat and contemporary drum fills in the style of Sting, Steely Dan, and Phil Collins.

The drums samples on the Fostex Mix It software are provided by Australia's David Jones, one of the world's great percussionists who has worked with a wide variety of international superstars, including John Denver, Stevie Wonder, Seals & Crofts, as well as popular Australian artists from the blues phenom Nathan Cavaleri, long-standing rockers Dragon, pop stars Debra Byrne and Peter Cupples, amongst others.
