The mixer features two channels with balanced XLR and balanced 1/4" line inputs, each with discreet volume control and two band EQ. A third channel accepts a stereo 1/8" input, volume control and two bands of EQ as well. A master volume controls overall system volume, and a linking panel features an XLR input and an XLR output. All of this mixing capability is built-in to the HA300T top speaker.
The HA300T contains a 100W power amp and the subwoofer (HA300S)contains a 200W power amp. The top speaker has a 1/4" subwoofer output that is crossed over at 150Hz so the power amp in the top doesn't need to process the low frequencies at all. If you want, you can use just the top and when the subwoofer out is not engaged, the speaker processes the full range signal.
The HA300T features four 4 1/2" drivers and a 3 1/2" piezo driver. The HA300S features a 12" 200W 8 ohm speaker in a ported cabinet. The linking system makes it ideal for hooking two systems together.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
Sounded just like I hoped, vocals were clear and sounded good, acoustic guitar was good. I bought this to have a small system to amplify vocals, from the pictures it looked smaller than it is, the Woofer is quite large and heavy, rectangular, and way to big for the space I had. Sent it back (60 shipping, two boxes) for a 1000 watt 10" powered speaker. Better pictures of the product would have saved me time, money, and hassel, the one picture in the listing makes the system look smaller than it is. There's a reason there is only one picture of the product, with nobody standing next to it with the woofer sideways. Pony extra for a fish stick or a good powered speaker, save yourself time and back strain trying to cheap it. On the other hand, its good sound for the money if you don't mind carrying around a refrigerator.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
This is a follow up. Still satisfied with these speakers after 6 months of use. The onboard mixer is functional but weak, and have added a PreSonus in front and leave the onboard mixer neutral. It now meets me and my bands requirements. A/ B tested these against the Mackie Thump TH15s. No disrespect but will keep the Harbingers. Love it when my music friends criticize the brand then drop their jaws when they hear them.
The best value and fidelity in this price range period!

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
Like the ease of set up and fidelity. Good value and I like that. Have had for approximately 3 months and has held up well. The previously noted plastic mounting plates appear weak so be careful. The sound is clear and full up to reasonable volumes. Also makes a sweet home stereo with my mp3 player. Purchased to use as side fill monitors, but recently have been using as mains for my crossover cover band. Don't think it is all that heavy for a sub with satellites. (use a hand truck) Long term reliability may not be as good as units costing 10 times as much. But time will tell. Planning on ordering 2 more sets.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
This little unit is a good little practice unit. It could be used for small gigs quite well. The sound is as clear and clean as you can get. The unit dose not offer much on it's own as far as mix and verb. But a small mixer you are in business. If you need a small practice PA or you are a singer songwriter type i.e, coffee shops this is your unit. For the price this this is the bomb. Get pass the Name brand, get over it. Everything is made in China now anyway.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
I own 2 sets of these systems and buying 2 more. they have been reliable going on 3 years of weekly use including a trip to Nashville in which they traveled in a storage compartment below bus unprotected holding up fine. the sound is unbelievable for the price range these are offered for. The system set up is a simple 5 minutes,I often DJ too and for medium crowds of 200 they really do thump running 2.I also own a Bose l1m1 system @ a price of $2000 and although the sound is superior after 7 months it has been sent back to Bose for repair. Quality of the Harbinger system should not be of concern the only problem i have had after 3 yr is one of the steel mesh grills has popped loose. This compact system is perfect for our country band and DJ , it is a little heavy but still able to hand carry it without back aches. Finally musicians who have heard this system are blown away by the sound and recently friends have bought 4 systems instead of popular bose at half the price! Enjoy!

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
This system sounds great. Really easy to use. You can set up and be ready to go in under 5 minutes. The ONLY con to the whole system for me is that I wish the support bar locked to keep it in place. The top monitor just rests on it and is easily prone to spin out of place. A push button locking mechanism would have been perfect. But the look of the system for the money is fantastic! And it sounds great, it really does. Zero feedback problems. It IS bigger than I thought it would be I'm 5"10 and it's only a couple inches shorter than me. But to me that's pretty great considering the other "portable" systems are boombox size. This is great for house parties and small to medium size gatherings. I'm going to purchase another as a backup.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
These are a good deal if you get them on sale @ or near 300
Mains
-------
These will get very loud.
I'd guess they're suited to cover +/- 1,000 sq/ft. per unit.
They do sound flat compared to a decent home theater system.
-- I've found this to be true of most PA speakers I've used, so no surprise
The 4 1/2 speakers seem to have trouble producing the full range down to 160hz where the subs take over. The are clear and crisp, but not transparent.
Not good as studio monitors, but suitable for live performances for sure.
Subs
------
The subs don't punch down to low E @ +/- 40hz,
The boxes/woofers seem to respond most around B - D on the E string for Bass Guitar, also depends on your EQ pre-amp etc.
They do however rumble pretty good even at low E.
They do provide a solid punch for kick drums, again, depends on EQ.
Read some reviews and your expectations will probably be right on the money.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
I purchased two sets of this PA to have both sides and recently used it at a wedding reception. It performed well for the size of room I was in. It was money well spent. I would not recommend it if you were using it in a large venue. The subs could use a little more thump.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
I got a pair of these. The powered subwoofers may be a little on the heavy side, but the power, overall portability and ease of setup seem to make this system make it a great value, esp. if you do a lot of work in small venues. Still working on tweaking the mix, but the system has handled what I've put it through so far.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
I use a small mixer in the "Aux In" channel for a CDG Player & an echo unit for 2-wireless handheld mikes. I also use a mike channel input for music files from my laptop. I perform with a female vocalist at Senior Centers in Virginia. We use karaoke music tracks for our vocals. This PA works well in Parks & Rec Social Halls and I even used it in a gym for a Valentine's Party for six senior centers.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
It's quite a nice small system. I've had large PAs with 24 channel mixing boards, giant cabinets and power amps... this is a wonderful full frequency range alternative for smaller venues. I did screw on some casters to bottom of the sub-woofer so I can just wheel it around when necessary. "Heavy Sub-Woofer" issue solved. I can assemble the whole unit right out of my transport, and wheel it into the club. Want more inputs? add a small mixer, I got one with FX.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
Overall a great little unit. Sounds great, crystal clear. Virtually no feedback as long as unit is not turned up too high with mike in front of unit. I use a 8 channel mixer with effects that I run microphones and acoustic guitars through first then into top cabinet. I have even run my Strat and Tele Thinline through this unit. I have not been disappointed. My only complaint is that the tube that supports the top cab to the subdoes not fit properly. The tube diameter is too small for the stand adapter on the sub and top cab. Easy fix..Black duct tape once around both ends of tube increases diameter enough for a snug fit. Great little unit for the price.

Now that I own 2 I can be honest... Bang for the buck these are awesome. Huge hit, highly accurate tons of headroom and versatile. The mixer portion works great and the link function is flawless.
Ok it doesn't have effects and the bass cab is bulky and somewhat heavy but I bought 2 at the 2/3rd the price of JBL Eon, luv it!!!! Don't even heasitate

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
This is follow up number two. Still satisfied with these speakers after two Years of use. The comments still stand. I am satisfied using these with the band. I just don't understand paying more for less?? I recognize that I have a good ear, and mix well, and don't over drive them. But I really enjoy receiving positive compliments from other musicians about how good they sound.

Comments about Harbinger Compact Portable PA System:
Bought a second one this December they were unable available for a while. I'm glad they came back. I play my pre recorded tracks through this and mike my marshall 800 through it and it sounds like a full band great sound quality. Tone werks makes these for harbinger. The tone werks ones are more money for the same thing. Buy the harbinger ones better deal.
