KPM 4080 Powered Mixer

The Kustom KPM 4080 is an easy-to-operate powered mixer that provides dependable sound reinforcement and real value. It features 80W of output power, 4 channels with balanced XLR and line level inputs, and phantom microphone power. Tone is handled by a 3-band master EQ plus a separate tone control for each channel. The Kustom mixer's spring reverb adds studio ambiance to the live sound. Play prerecorded music through the CD/tape/iPod input jacks and capture a live recording using the left/right record out jacks.

Many manufacturers design products for the perfect world rather than for the real world. In reality, the real world has shorted speaker cables, defective speakers, mis-connections, and improper impedances. The KPM 4080 powered mixer is designed to be tolerant of that imperfect world. With this product, Kustom delivers an amplifier that will ramp up to power within 2 seconds and check itself over to make sure there are no problems before it allows power to be delivered to the outputs. Also, it will check to see if there are thermal (heated) or short circuits. If it detects a thermal situation, the mixer will shut itself off until the heat dissipates. If it detects a short circuit, it will continue to pass a signal but it will cause the short circuit protection to engage so that the unit will shut down until the problem is corrected.
