We got one of these for some local functions and we were tired of borrowing equipment. Some of the reviews don't seem flattering. You simply cannot get window rattling bass out of 6 in speakers. What you do get is a simple mixer, 2 speaker cords, 2 speakers and plenty of sound for small venues. Sound is reasonable and should work great for our use. Each unit has built in handle for easy carrying, all matching molded cases so they should look great for a while. There is ample speaker cable to get some separation. There are also mounting brackets on the bottom of the speakers so we can add stands in the future. Another great find, just what we needed.
i have played in a band and have been recording for decades. cerwin vega is my speaker of choice and have used many good mixers, for the price this unit does the job, the effects are not the best, but again only a couple hundred dollars invested, we bought the kustom to do karaoke shows and have done many without a glitch, matter o fact i bought 3 more
Well I love this thing, we have had some feedback issues but im pretty sure its our mics. I bought this for 200 so I think its a great deal now that its 500 I would buy it mainly cause I don't have that much to spend. Its a great quality sound but when we try to turn it up alot it starts to get some feedback but we can get it loud enough to play over our band. Defiantly a great deal for what I got it for and its defiantly worth the price.
Got this through a stupid deal and it works for what I need it for. Just a small pa for the singer during practice. The live array works great. My neighbors gave me a hard time first time I put it up in my house. They said they heard it couple blocks away, and my house was closed up. only 100 watts so don't expect too much though. my biggest gripe is the lack of low end. there is none!
I've owned one of these for 5 years using it 3-4 times weekly doing soloing acoustic. You need to add an eq if you want extra sound perfection along with your accoustic effects. This has been an incredible cost efective unit for the price. keep in mind with the line array speakers not to point them at your mic. to kill feedback. Kustom makes a good product, but no one famous endorses them so they are not the king of the hill from a popular point of view. I solo accoustic with this and love the warm sound along with the reliabity i've had for 5 years and still running...great starter package and able to add on effects and record through...100 watts, so don't expect to play with someone running a stack. This is a personalized unit for mostly solo or low key arrangements. Have fun..
I bought this system to use for gigs with my classical guitar and to use as a PA for band practice. The sound lacks a little warmth, but is good for the price. My bad rating comes from the fact that after some time the system started to make chirping noises. To the credit of Kustom, they arranged for having the system repaired at their cost. I had to bring it to a specific repair shop. It worked for a while and then started to chirp again. I decided to not put up with it anymore. I bought a different brand and use the speakers now as monitors. The amp is probably going to the garbage. I might just have had one of the few bad ones, but my experience was not positive. The customer service from Kustom was good though.
I was looking to upgrade from my old Kustom KPA80 to something with a little more power and maybe a few effects besides reverb. The Kustom Profile 1A PA System fit the bill perfectly. It has a wide range of effects including reverb, chorus and delay. Granted, they are presets, but some of them are usable for a live situation. If that isn't enough, you can always use the effects loop. The Array Speakers do seem to project better than the old 'speaker in a box' style I had before. All in all, I'm very happy with Kustom. They make some solid gear at a decent price.
I got this product because I didn't have enough money for a full blown PA (I wanted a yamaha). When The setup is very simple. It also comes with long speaker cables that make it very easy to place the monitors. The sound is great for a little thing! It cuts over my rock band easily! It also has a multitude of different reverb sounds and echos. Overall, a great alternative to something more expensive while still getting the job done well!
