This system delivers rich sound without the noise or squished-sound companding effects of lesser wireless gear.
X2 XDR955 Rackmount Wireless Microphone System from Line 6 is a breakthrough in digital wireless technology. It features award-winning solutions for vocalists, public speakers, and presenters that traditional analog wireless systems simply cannot deliver.
X2 XDR955 features 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion to capture and reproduce all the important dynamics and nuances of your vocal performance.
The extended frequency response of 10Hz“20kHz produces clear and commanding voices at up to 300 feet, the entire length of a football field. And the expanded dynamic range of more than 115dB, which outperforms that of any comparable analog wireless systems, provides crystal-clear voices with ample headroom. The historically "squashed" sound of analog wireless is a thing of the past.
X2 XDR955 delivers a 100% compression-free broadcast to preserve the rich tone and feel that are characteristic of a high-quality audio cable connection. Performers will fall for the "wired" sound of X2 XDR955 instead of tripping over dozens of feet of tangled cable.
X2 XDR955 provides multiple layers of protection to protect its strong signal. It uses dual-RF anti-jam technology and a proprietary digital data stream to shield against static, interference, and dropouts.
Free of complicated setup, X2 XDR955 is the apex of simplicity. It delivers instant out-of-the-box usability throughout all of the United States and Canada and eliminates the need for an FCC operator's license. Plus, it includes all necessary batteries, antennas, and accessories.
The microphone boasts many pro advantages. The cardioid capsule offers excellent isolation and feedback rejection, and the built-in transmitter provides the ultimate in convenience.
Performers can finally keep their attention on their performances instead of on their wireless system. X2 XDR955 provides the kind of revolutionary support that wireless users have always dreamed of.
Consumer Alert:Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCC's wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

This is the best wireless mic I have ever used.I have owned or used Shure, EV, Nady in the past but this thing is great. Right out of the box it set up in less than a minute. Turn it on, it links up to whatever channel you want and its on.The house soundman at a club my band played at for the first time had never seen one (and Im sure thats the case at alot of places) really was unsure about me using it. But after the show he went on and on about how great it sounded. I've not had 1 problem with interference or cutting out. I was skeptical but not any longer. I put a 5 in the feature rating even though this mic does not have many features, the 5 is for that same reason, it does not need any. If your looking for a great mic for a great price this is the one.
This company will not back up their products. I bought 700 worth of wireless which lasted 2 1/2 years and now is junk. I am back to wires. SAVE YOUR MONEY Buy better quality than this stuff. 40 plus year musician and I have seen it all brothers.
I'm shocked by the review made by stageshow as my experience has been contrary however my application is also different. I'm a private DJ and I rely on this mic being available 100% of the time. I've had NO issues with it. No issues with signal break up, in fact the range seems beyond the norm. As for the audio quality... it's as rock solid as the SM58 hardwired to my DJ set.I also treat it with kit gloves and transport it in a foam case so it's well taken care of.
I have used Shure wired dynamic, and many other cheaper wireless mics. This mic has changed my career in the LIVE PERFORMANCE field. It is by far the best I have used in my career. 24-bit means the sound is uncompressed and you will hear the difference. Other mics sound like the annoying DJ in the club screaming in your ear followed by distortion. If you use this mic, you will NOT be that guy. It's tone accurate. The engineers at the Venues LOVE when I bring this mic. I thought the plastic receiver was a con but now that I think about the metal chassis inside the box it makes sense. The black plastic actually hides any minor scratches that may show up as a scratch on other painted surfaces. It's tough enough for rackmount situations. Now the con that cost the 0.5 reduction of stars is the mic itself is plastic. I know they may have done that for lighter weight but I can't say the bottom battery cover could survive a fall. I haven't had any interference even when using 2 of these together. The receiver is like having 4 different receivers in one. If one (virtual) receiver encounters interference, it automatically switches to 1 of the other 3 remaining without a hiccup. You can only use up to 5 of these Line 6 X2 XDR955 systems at once without complete interference. (5 channels) Whether you are looking at this as a gift or to use for yourself, the user will not be disappointed.
