Good little interface for the money

    By Andy-QeIYr

    from Brooklyn, NY

I use this interface with a cheapo Samson 6-channel mixer going into a Gateway laptop (via USB) into Pro Tools M-Powered. While it certainly can't compare with the high end Apogee stuff, it sounds and works just fine for hobbyists like myself who don't have a lot of money. Friends have complimented my recordings, so the Transit certainly deserves some credit.

    Economy and utility

    By DrDavid

    from Los Angeles, CA

The Transit is a basic audio interface. It works well for the price, but would be best used for mobile recording. Its small size and cheap price make it ideal for on the go recording. While it cannot match the sonic quality of the "bigger" units, for those on a tight budget or needing and small unit, this is ideal.

    Do Not BUY this

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

It work great for a week. Then Windows xp 32 Pro driver stopped I took it to my MacBook and istalled the driver and it works fine on OS X 10.5.6-10.5.8 no problems. Now on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit NOPE it works sort of then the options suck and it interferes with IRQ video bus no matter where I put it in the USB tree - slots. It works and sounds great but M-Audio has so many driver problems it is such a head ache....Until they get their act together at M-Audio do not buy this. They have stated they will fix this and that on all of their USB driver issues with Windows 64 or 32 bit OS...they do not deliver. IF YOU WANT THIS FOR A MAC OS X - it will work great. Any Windows Operating System I highly recommend that you look up M-Audio support forums on any USB Audio device ...errors all over the place. I think they can only write for drivers for Mac. Good Luck and you were advised with unsolicitated consultation.
