Numark includes an 80GB removable hard drive that stores an enormous library of music. Rip your music straight from CD to the hard drive for the security of a backup. You can even upgrade the DDS80 media player's hard drive should the need arise.

The Numark DDS80 player's unique blend of media playability with a high-definition color screen and Numark's intuitive Crate music-management software give mobile DJs incomparable visual control of their music. Carefully crafted around the way DJs work and play, the Numark DDS80 player takes the questions out of mixing media formats and puts the answers back in the hands of DJs.

A number of Numark DJ technologies are built-into the DDS80 Media and CD Player to give you total control over your music. Key Lock enables independent control of pitch and tempo so your songs will never sound like they're being sung by Alvin & the Chipmunks”unless you want them to. You can move pitch all the way from -100% up to +25% and anywhere in-between. Beatkeeper seamlessly integrates your samples and loops, and it has a tap-override function so you're always in control. You can play music from 2 devices simultaneously, including 2 songs from the same iPod. You can scratch CDs, MP3s, WAVs, and AACs (unprotected) using the Numark DDS80 player's large jog wheels.

The Numark DDS80 ensures fast-track access as a CD player, and when using the hard disk, you can use text-search to locate tunes even faster. You can easily expand and connect your DDS80 to any USB music storage device using its 2 front-panel USB ports.

The Numark DDS80 fits standard 19" equipment racks, occupying 5RU total. You can also separate the DDS80 into a 3RU DDS controller and a 2RU DDS drive.
