I am very pleased with this unit. I was on the fence about it's quality due the price but once I turned it on I was very happy. You are not gonna be playing any large venues with this pa but it's great for small gigs and jammin. It holds its own against an ampeg bass stack, drums, and my fender twin reverb. Very clear, loud, and great built in effects with footswitch jack which is great. The only negative thing I can say is the speaker cables are crap, and the mic kinda sucks. There is also a little feedback on certain effects so you do have to adjust the eq a little if you are using it in a small room but outside there are no feedback issues. In all I am very satisfied with this pa, perfect for what I use if for which is basically practice with my band and small gigs.
The Phonic Powerpod 620 with matching speakers is a great product. I use it during rehearsals and at small gigs. The system is very clean and clear sounding and allows various settings for speaker configuration. (Two mains/Mains and Monitors/Single bridged output)I was looking for a small PA system for gigs with my jazz trio/quartet. (piano, bass, drums, vocals, sax) This system has exceeded my expectations. It is great in a coffee house, restaurant or private home. It has two direct inputs for bass or guitar so no direct box is needed. The built in effects work well for their intended purpose. I use them on the vocals and sax only. You won't be rocking a stadium with this PA, but for smaller venues it has more than enough power. I also have used the speakers as monitors when using a larger PA system with great success. The included speaker cables are not very good so I would recommend getting better speaker cables. I also have never used the microphone which came in the package. I use it with an SM58 and the sound quality is great.I highly recommend the Phonic Powerpod 620.
I purchased this unit for practice. There is no headroom and the feedback is rampant. You have to cut the eq so much that the sound is mud. I would not recommend this unit.Spend the extra cash and get better set up. I can not see using this for nothing more than taking up space. Mine will be up for grabs at my next garage sale
This is a great PA package for the money. It does not have very good instructions/manual. Be prepared to scratch your head when hooking up speakers. It has a stereo effects processor, supposedly, but the manual tells you nothing on how to use the PA in a stereo configuration. Hint: Use separate inputs, one as monitor and the other as main; "Amp Mode" switch in Main/Monitor position; speakers hooked up with one main and one monitor. As for power? My amp's LED indicators did not even begin to light until the speakers were blasting me out of my room.
I bought this when I started playing a gig and needed live equipment A) cheaply and B) quickly. was a little weary of this package because I thought you could only use one speaker as a monitor. However, you can just simply switch it to amp mode and get good sound out of both speakers. I'm a solo musician and play acoustic rock. I put a low chorus effect on the guitar and mic and it sounds great. It doesn't get a ton of power and I did get a pretty high quality mic for it but it's great. I play in a small venue every week and it's fine for that. I probably wouldn't use it for a bigger gig but it's great for where I play. I might use it for recording as well. I love the system. Hands down, there is no better value for the price.
This is just plain great. It has 8 inputs which is perfect for me, but sometimes I add an extension mixer. It sounds good, very clear. It has a lot of effects (over 100). I use it mostly for practice and recording but sometimes I use it for gigs. The one drawback is that you can't mix left and right. You can run one speaker as a monitor and then have control over it but only if you don't use any monitors. This is a great product that you should buy.
Just got it this week and have to say I was impressed at the size of this thing. The speakers are huge. The quality is excellent on the mixer and speakers. The included cables are a little cheap, but for the price, it was worth it. It came packaged very nice and everything was in good shape. This thing is beefy and craftsmanship is excellent. I am very satisfied with this purchase and we will enjoy this as our youth group at church will surely put it to the test. Thanks for a great sound system on a tight budget.
I got it a year ago. I've had it in my music room since. Works great for me !
