The volume, clarity, and personalized control of this thing makes it the best pick I've ever used. Of course I can't find mine now. Going to order a few this time, and slum it for a few days on the plastic picks while awaiting my replacements.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I had previously used the Dunlop Max Grip 1.5's for control because I get muscle shakes and control is an issue. I was looking for something better and thought I would try these. I really like these picks. They have the flexible and highly gripable base coupled with the metal tip and I really love it. The extra flexibility I wasn't getting from Dunlop in combination with the control of the metal tip has made me a more fluid and better player. I also like the attack of the metal tip and sound better as well. They are expensive, so I make sure I keep track of them!! But I would highly recommend these picks for anyone looking for the combination of grip, control, flexibility and a metal tip.

    NOT FOR ACOUSTIC

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I probably wouldnt even give this a 2 if it weren't for all the favorable reviews left by mostly Metal players. I play almost entirely acoustic and say this on sale when I was purchasing other pics and thought I'd give it a try. It sounds awful on acoustic, especially if you use and muted and damping techniques. I find that the rubber catches on the string too but not quite as bad as the plastic davas that also recently received and do not care for either for this reason.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

This pick is mainly for electric cuz it will ruin the finish on acoustic because of the nickel tip. I love this thing though. I highly recomend it. Get this pick!!!!
The nickel tip is the best feature on this thing. It gives great tone.

Guitars Have Waited Decades For This Guitar Pick

    By Vocal god

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

DAVA master control pick. Quite simply the ultimate guitar pick thus far. I know the 'Dava 1303 Rock Delrin Hang Bag' will appeal to a wider range of guitarists, but this Master blows them (and all other picks) away. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and have been obsessed with picks and guitars. I hate shiny, heavy, flimsy, picks, and picks with pretty pictures on them etc. etc. etc. Ok I know some of you may think I need therapy because of this guitar pick thing, but to me a pick can make such a huge difference to you tonal palette, and playing style. This pick is not for whimps who don't want to scratch their 'precious' guitar surface up. I do, I want to dig in hard, scrape the strings with edge of pick, play light as a feather, or whatever else. These picks are ingeniously designed. They are both light and heavy, simultaneousy. Great rubber grip and tip of nickel silver no less, what a design! I have always steared away from metal tipped guitar picks 'cos I was too whimpy with my guitars. Now I want to 'f' the surface up, if that's what it takes to get a certain feel and sound. Play normally and you guitar surface will not suffer. I intend abusing the hell out of guitars for the remainder of my active playing years. If I ever get arthritis in my hands, I will just smash all my guitars up, or get someone else to. Sorry, I digress. buy this pick, you need it. You also need the 'Dava 1303 Rock Delrin Hang Bag' picks which do not have the edge made of metal.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I've used the pick for almost 2 months now, and it shows no signs of wear. One of the most expensive picks I've seen, but it is worth every penny. It works great on bass or guitar. Pinch Harmonics are possible with practice.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

Ok so i usualy use the Dunlop Ultex pick whichi love and decided to give these a try. First off, they are kinda bulky and not that great if your doing alot of playing that involves skipping strings and they arnt that great for pinch harmonics either. Basically if you like the big picks this is for you, but i dont think i would buy another set.

      It just takes one...

      By Silky

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I have been using the same pick for five years with no wear on the tip whatsoever. This pick is amazing, especially for grinding heavy metal. If you have problems holding a pick, get yourself a stylus pick, that will teach you how to hold a pick, I highly recommend the Master Control Pick, five years running for one pick!

      My signature pick

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I've been playing with this pick for a few years now. It is a little expensive, but I bought it in a pack with other Dava picks. It is by far my favorite and most used pick now. The brightness it brings is especially apparent with acoustics and clean electrics. All these Dava picks have an annoying quality where the plastic sides can sometimes catch the strings, and the pick is a little bulky. However the lack of friction caused by the nickel against the strings has actually allowed me to gain a little more speed with this pick despite its size. I really do love it overall.

      Great Value

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

Thsi pick may seem expensive but it's worth all the money you pay. I've had one for almost a solid year now ant it hasn't worn down at all. It has great grip, never slips. The tip doesn't snag on the strings like most Delrin picks, and doesn't wear like they do. I hold my picks relatively close to the tip for better control, and his pick has no flex at all, which I love. The higher you hold it though, the more it will flex since it has the Dava bend spot on it. All in all an excelent pick, I will be ordering more of them soon.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

I've been curious about these picks for years, and finally decided to pull the trigger. I have steel picks, and have tried brass and stone picks in the past. Most of the metal picks make an unpleasant (to me) noise when striking the wound strings while playing at low amplified volume. While this pick does make some of that noise, the plastic body seems to reduce that noise somewhat, which is good. The plastic body also gives the pick a bit more flexibility than straight steel, giving it a good feel for strumming. The steel picks aren't so good for that. The hard edge of the metal picking surface can give chords a chime that I haven't heard before. I understand this product to be a "medium" gauge; if so, I would also like to try a heavier version.

Comments about Dava Master Control Pick:

awesome pick I love them for electrics. I keep a few on me because of the superior handling and grip. they are great for maxing out tone and volume from the strings themselves. but when you use them on acoustics it deadens the bronze strings you'll get a ugly twangy noise that you'll most certainly hate. I found it out after burning up 2 sets of strings. I thought that they were junk strings but in short the nickel end dulls the windings in the bronze which kills the tone. if you love them like I do get the derlin ones for acoustic and the metal for electric. but I really like them.

This pick makes using harmonics far easier than other picks I've used. And it's an easy nonslip grip. Clear as a bell sound and doesn't wear down on the tip. I'll experience angst if this one gets lost.
