OVERVIEW

Light, strong, and compact.

The DW 6300 Ultralight Snare Drum Stand was created for students, weekend drummers and working pros. The 6300 stand's performance upgrades and enhanced adjustability bring modern technology and manufacturing methods to a classic drum hardware design.

The DW snare stand's vintage-style flush-base leg assembly and smaller diameter tubing provide a practical hardware option that is significantly lighter without sacrificing quality or performance. The snare stand is also equipped with an ultralight fine tilt adjustment and memory lock.

6000 Series Ultralight Series
A scaled-down version of the popular lineup of 6000 Series retro-styled, flush-base hardware, 6000 Series Ultralight stands utilize smaller diameter, lighter gauge steel tubing and a low-mass tube joint for optimal portability. Other marquis features include a new Glide Tilter for exacting adjustment of cymbal and snare drum angles. An "old-school" snare basket design get a modern, spring-loaded make over and the hi-hat stand is as smooth and effortless as its 6000 cousin. Ultralight hardware is a perfect fit for bop kits, vintage sets and gigging drummers everywhere.

Note that DW products are not available for further discounting online.

Comments about DW 6300 Ultralight Snare Drum Stand:

I play with a Christian Jazz trio, the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) Praise Band and our church praise band and orchestra. I gig weekly with these groups. I recently replaced all my DW 9000 and 5000 cymbal stands with the DW 6000 series and was extremely pleased with the quality and solidity of these stands not to mention the much lighter weight in my gigging hardware bags (read my reviews of the straight and boom stands on the Musician's Friend website). However, I was leery of the snare stand and had stayed with both my 9000 and 5000 stands. Based on DW's web site reviews I decided to try the 6000 snare stand as well. Bottom line, I was blown away! Awesome stand, solid as the 5000 or 9000 and a third the weight and half the space taken up in my gig bag. DW takes the classic designs and brings them up with new technology to an absolutely superior level. I won't go back to the big heavy gear and my back thanks me. DW rocks!

Comments about DW 6300 Ultralight Snare Drum Stand:

Needed a second snare stand for practicing on my Simmons pad, as well as just an extra to have since my Rogers kit is not setup yet. Wanted something lightweight, and portable, and good enough quality to gig with if I ever wanted to carry less weight. Seems to fit the bill. Fits on my new Rogers Dynasonic 14X6.5 just fine.

Comments about DW 6300 Ultralight Snare Drum Stand:

I got this stand mainly to reduce weight. Nice 1960's look. Used stand twice with Acrolite. So far no problems. I don't know if this stand would hold up with a heavy hitting drummer. But then at one time stands similar to this were all that was available. I'm concerned about the spring on one of the basket arms holding up for years. Only time will tell. I'm well satisfied wit it so far. I'd like to see a light weight sturdy screw type throne next. I would recommend this stand with some reservations.

Comments about DW 6300 Ultralight Snare Drum Stand:

im a part time pro musician, and this thing is SUPER light, i bought the whole pack of dw6000 UL. that bag is the lightest hardware bag Ive EVER lifted in ANYWHERE in the world. cannot be lighter than that. Awesome Awesome equipment. Only one downside to it is the tightening bolt on the tube (for height). Ive seen many people who wanted to order the wingnut or the whole wingnut tightening system on the stand(mostly cymbal stand) cause sometimes, if you tighten it a bit to tight, it just goes overboard and keeps spinning, without tighly securing the stand.
