I am on my second pair of these stix. I broke the first stick by hitting the bell on my K Crash pretty hard by accident. Zildjian made these stix to work with their cymbles and not damage them. These stix are pretty soft, but I like them.Only complaint is that they dont come in 5AN.
These drumsticks are awesome and They are my favorite pair of drumsticks I have. The only promblem I have with them is the grip it peeled off very quick. But besides that these sticks are awesome.
I think they are pretty cool, but they slip when my hands are sweating from playing or practicing. They could fly off.
I really like the fact the fact that these sticks are dipped in rubber. This dramatically improves the stick from slipping out of your hand. When you play it, it's like the sticks are glued to your hand. But the wood is not very strong. Within 15 minutes of playing with them, I hit my 18" crash cymbal and the top half of the stick just shattered. Granted, I do play pretty hard, but the Pro-Marks handle a lot better then these did. I ended up wrapping the top half of the sticks in black electrical tape and now they are perfectly fine. For my money though, I would have to go with the Pro-Marks over these.
this is a great kit for anyone starting out. I have heard that they break easily but i got 5b's and they have lasted me a long time. I really like the grips, but some people don't, it just seems to be personal preference. But unquestionably really good sticks for the price, and i love the hat.
I like the stick, but they give me blisters b/c of the dipped grip.
