I bought these to play my acoustic kit in a classic rock situation a couple years ago. They weren't marketed as trigger sticks then; they were simply supposed to reduce fatigue. I probably play at a slightly below average volume for an electric rock band. I'm not a Bonham-esque banger. These sticks lasted a set and a half before the rubber tubing inside popped out the end, leaving me with a hollow stick that was oddly weighted. Maybe they will work better on an electronic kit (and that's a smart marketing move), but don't think that you will be able to use them to reduce fatigue in a live rock setting.
Save yourself time and money and don't buy these sticks. The ballance is totaly off on them, because they drill out the end then stick a rubber piece into it. The result is a stick that dosn't feel right and also wants to constantly slip out of your hand. In my case the rubber piece also came out. I would not recomend these sticks for electric or anything else.
I play on Yamaha rubber pads. These sticks really do eliminate the shock that you experience with normal sticks. Highly recommended for electronic, rubber pads!
