OVERVIEW

Combining raw power and excellent tone.

A hybrid design, the Aguilar DB 750 Bass Head combines a discrete solid-state power section and all-tube preamp circuits. It's a bass head that runs safely under 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm loads, and its 750W power rating (at 4 ohms) is measured well within the usable operating range of the amp. Controls include treble, mid, and bass EQs; deep switch; bright switch; a push/pull to select line or instrument level on the effects loop pot. Connections include active and passive inputs, a tube-buffered DI with Jenson transformer balanced output (-40 pre and post EQ), a tuner out, 2 Speakon outputs, and one XLR balanced output. Custom Aguilar toroidal power transformer completes the DB 750 Bass Head.

This amp looks as good as it sounds. High quality features with a sound that is crisp and clear. Nothing else matches this kind of workmanship.

Simply The Best!

I've rated this amp with nothing but 10's, because that's truly how I feel about it. I've had my DB750 for over a year now, and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. It's built like a Mack truck, a true road warrior, and it can take some abuse. It is a little on the heavy side, but you'd have to expect that from such a powerful beast. Just open up the amp and take a look inside, and you will then really appreciate the excellent craftmanship from Aguilar. You could drop this thing off a cliff, and I bet it would still fire right up! The design is simple, as well as its features. No fancy-schmancy graphic EQs going on here... just basic bass, mid-range and treble. The beauty behind this beast is its clean, crisp power. However, you have enough control over the power where you can use it with a 2x10" cabinet in a small venue without blowing out the windows... and, you can tweak the gain and master volume in order to get the pre-amp tubes to give you that classic, slightly distorted tone. Simply a great amp... probably Aguilar's best ever!

Great amp

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This amp gets straight to the point. Simple layout, great sound, and tons of power. I auditioned heads from most of the high end manufacturers and I found that the DB750 had character the others lacked. It bridges the gap between the balls of an ampeg and the accuracy of the hi-fi manufacturers. Truly great and worth the price tag.

Simply perfect

By funkitup

You can't beat this amp, it is hands down the best bass amp on the market. The sound can only be described as HUGE. Imagine an SVT on steriods, and you've got the Aguilardb750. It's a bit on the heavy side but built like a tank. You will not be disappointed.

If you can only have one amp, Get it!

By Z2b

Aguilar builds Bass amps exclusively. They are Top of the line, Tone Masters for just about any style you can think off. This particular "hybrid" has serious power to match the incredable tube tone warmth, Aguilar is known for.

Beautiful Sound For most Playing Styles

By Blotus

The DB750 Is an incredible amp. I own a Eden head pushing one Eden 115XT and one Eden 410SXT, I bought the DB750 after hearing it once. It sounds tight and puchy through the eden stack.I have been giging with it now for about four months and my only comlaint is that the Eden is more articulate in the High end. The DB750 sounds great right out of the box though!!

Played this like two nights ago in Cleveland, I was standin in for another guy, and he let me use his amp for the night, because of such short notice. The amp has incredible tone, and I am about to get one myself. I was going to get an SWR 350x, but id rather spend more money on this head. You wont be let down.

Power and Tone Aplenty

By Tim-NatmD

For all it's weight, this "hybrid" head is simple and straightforward but still allows one to dial in a respectable variety of tone from punchy Motown-bass sounds to hard-rock attack. Even when driving dual 4 ohm cabinets there is plenty of power to spare. Not since I acquired my first Sunn 200S in the far-distant and hazy past have I been so pleased with a bass head. And I've owned more than a few in between. It does pull some current on start-up: don't expect it to power up unless you're running it thru 15 amp or better circ.

Top of the line.....PERIOD!!!!!!

This has got to be the best bass head on the market. It pairs seemlessly with the DB810 and is an absolute POWERHOUSE! I send the signal from the Jensen ballanced output to the FOH(front of house). My engineer has never been so pleased. I was told to superglue my settings after the first song, however, I never had to touch the eq in the first place. This amp sounds great flat!! The 12 MOSFETS in the power section provide some of the warmest sounding 750 @ 4 Ohms i've ever heard. Great job Aguilar!!
