if your looking for a warm tube sound, this isnt your amp, it sounds like a solid state, its loud but thats it. its not gonna give you that slightly overdriven tone that an ampeg or traynor will give you, this is not what want. if you want a better sounding than an average solid state, you would probably like this.

Great head for the money.

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

My head receintly took a dive and I needed something quick for an upcoming show. So I stopped in a local music shop and saw this sucker sitting on a 4x10 cab. I immediately laughed my @$$ off when I saw saw the words "THE NUKE" on the front of it and I knew just had to play it. To my surprise it sounded great! I know Bugera is owned by Beheringer(which I dislike) but I bought it anyway because how could I pass up 3300 friggin' watts at that price? Turns out this amp SMOKES. It's huge beyond comprehension. It's not only loud but I can do some serious tone shaping with it and it sounds fantastic! The only things that I don't like about it are that it's heavy as heck and it doesn't have a 1/4" jack in the back (you need a speak-on cable or adapter). Other then that this monster is amazing. Don't get me wrong, there are other amps out there that are better. But for the money? No way.

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago and had to send it back. I was completely unhappy with the "power" to begin with. Don't be blinded by the alleged 3600 watt rating. At our second band practice with the head, it stopped outputting sound. I turned it off and waited about five minutes and tried again. After repeating the process for about fifteen minutes I decided that it is NOT reliable enough to keep.

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

If you are trying to use surge protectors with an amp that puts out this much power you no doubt will be replacing them. Surge protectors have a current rating generally of 15 amps. The rating for the circuit breaker on the amp is 18 amps at 120 v. You do the math. It might be best to read the manual before operation high powered gear like this.

NOT FOR PLAYERS WITH A WEAK HEART!

By SouthPawz

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

This head is probably one of the best I have tried yet! And I have been endorsed by Tech21 and SWR. Let me tell you. I got to try it out and the features this thing has is out standing! My only gripe about it is that there is no ground lift or a output control knob for the built in D.I.. Other than that it's unbelievable! Try one for yourself! And yes, watch out for that hard pumping 18 Amps on a 15 Amp line! You will have problems!

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I purchased this unit based on the great things that people kept on saying about this bass head. Boy i took it to a show 3 days after i got it, and left me on stage with no sound comming out of the speaker whatsoever, dont get me wrong i know what im doing. im usig this head along with an ampeg cabinet 8 X 10 classic series. The thing just gave up on me at the first song! Good thing the other band had a peavey head to borrow. I am returning this unit and getting my money back!

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I play in 2 working rock bands, 1 is an 80s glam band and the other is a modern rock band, i used the head in bi amp mode to run and 4 x 10 and 18 sub for the modern rock and it was earth shaking in drop D with a TON of head room with great sound, i have used it with my 8 x 10 for the 80s band in regular mode and it sounded great as well. ok so its probably not 3600 watts but its way more POWERFUL than any hartkey, peavey or ampeg ive used and the sound is very clear and crisp. I LOVE IT

    Please Sell Me A Nuke!

    By waysub22

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

The Bugera Nuke Bass Head is the greatest players dream! My circut breakers are 20 amps 120 v. Try to pay atention to the wires that are yellow and say type NM-B 600V. Check your breaker to assure that the following outlet is at 18-20 amps and your hearing the Bugera play the greatest sound of Low End Bass in the world. I am looking to buy one myself in the future. Pay atention most outlets are set at 20 amps not 15, this is just what is called standard, and may not be what is installed at you home. Have Fun and play hard!

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I've owned this head for about 5 months now and I have nothing to say but good things about it. Super quiet, normal and graphic EQ, Effects loop, and a ton of other stuff. I've had at one time (just to see how much power it really had) two 810 fender pro cabs and it was so loud on the low b. Has speakton inputs, wich is kind of annoying when you get it home and then have to go back to the music store to buy some more cables. Awesome Head though!

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I saw this online then noticed that the local music shop had one so I tried it out. This thing blew me out of the water. I thought for the price and the watt rating that it would lack in tone but boy was I wrong. I wanted to get an ampeg but with the economy the way it is my hours got cut back at work and i wont be able to afford the ampeg. My current head is alittle underpowered to push my ampeg 8X10 and for the money this amp is the next best thing after the ampeg heads. So if you are short on cash this amp is the way to go!!!

I originally bought the blem, which I returned for it's loud pop when turning off and no signal while on.The new actually out preforms my Ampeg SVT Pro 4.You will need Speakon cables to run this,no 1/4.From thunderous lows to tear your head off slap and pop, this head did it all.I was very impressed with this head.

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I have owned it for about 6 weeks. This amp seriously is devasting. I did have to switch up my basses though, I use this amp with an Ampeg 8x10, and it had so much low end it made us feel ill. It isn't as loud as you would think,I am pretty sure that this amp is 3600 watts just because it takes so many watts to deliver this kind of low end. I am proud to tell people it is my signature model(ha,ha).

Comments about Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke 3600W Bass Amp Head:

I bought this amp after returning a Markbass combo to MF. After gigging with it for 3 months now, I can say this amp is a tone MONSTER! I've owned it all, from Peavey to Trace and everything in between. It's built like a tank, has TONS of power, a switchable graphic EQ, built-in compressor/limiter that actually works, etc, etc, etc. I play 3 Spector Euros exclusively through the Nuke and they SING. Best bang for the buck I've ever experienced.
