Comments about Fender Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black Western:

I got this amp last weekend right before a gig and it was unbelievably great! My band noticed a difference right away. They all loved it. I had a Hot Rod Deluxe that served me well for many years but this is much better. I'm able to get this up to level 4-6 on stage without blowing others away and hit the sweet spot. The Hot Rod required way too much volume to get to that. and it never sounded this good. I'm not sure how to describe how this amp sounds but it is full, sweet, and awesome. I use a mojomojo overdrive for a dirty sound and it is great!. I have two of these overdrives, one for slightly dirty sound and one with drive all the way up for a distortion sound. I play in a variety band and we cover everything from rock, country, blues, classic rock, hard rock etc.... you name it. The look of the western tooled leather tolex is as sweet as this amp sounds. Just a little something to set it apart.
The only bad I can think of is the reverb is very slight until about 2-3 then it is very prominent from there up. I'm looking forward to the next gig I can stretch the legs on this amp.
I play a 1991 US fender Strat with texas special pickups. I use mojomojo overdrives, keely modified Boss Trem, delay, boss tu-2 tuner.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black Western:

The sound is hard to describe -Sounds sterile-lifeless-very frustrating, makes some of my finest guitars sound mediocre, while my Lone Star Special can make a decent guitar sound heavenly. Not sure if I want to keep it. I am thinking of doing mods or sending it back. I have been playing for 43 years and have played many, many amps. Some that had "it" and were inspiring, some not so much. This amp has not yet proved that it has "it"

Comments about Fender Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black Western:

I have always used larger high powers amps like Mesa and Marshall. I got the Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W so to have a small practice amp and it looked cool. I was really surprised about the quality of the sound and the power. It takes pedals well. I think that the Celestian speaker makes a difference. I have used the Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W in rehearsals with a relatively loud rock band. All of the revues are true.

          Service and delivery comments:

No issues with the one that was brand new and delivered promptly. Beware of open box deals. I bought two before buying a new one. One open box did not function and the other had a split apart cabinet.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black Western:

All of the great reviews are accurate in my opinion. I always used big Marsh and Mesa amps and thought it was time for something much smaller. I have heard many players using deluxe mic'ed with great effect. This amp not only looks cool but the celestian speaker makes it even better. Pedals work great and it has the iconic fender sound on its own.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black Western:

Such a widely used amp I figured it would be good, and that proved true. The western Tolex and black grill give it a different look. The speaker sounds great (not broken in yet) but I can't compare it to the standard one as I have never had one.
