Every guitarist knows the name Fender. After all, they've been building electric guitars since the beginning and were even responsible for creating the electric bass as we know it today. The music world owes a lot to Leo and the company he founded, and as amazing as their instruments are, some of their best-known creations are found right here in the lineup of Fender Amplifiers and Effects. Ever since the first amp rolled off Fender's production line in 1946, musicians have been trusting their sound to them - and reaping the rewards.

If it's an amplifier that you're searching for, the first questions you should be asking yourself are where you intend to use it and how much power you need. Most of Fender's amps are combos, which make gigs a cinch since you don't have to set up multiple components - just plug and play. And with amps as jaw-dropping as the Eric Clapton Signature 40W 2x12 Hand-Wired Tube Guitar Combo Amp here to choose from, you know you can get anything from a beginner box to something that meets the standards of Clapton himself.

Of course, if portability doesn't matter and your only concern is power, you're probably looking at building a full amp stack. Once again, Fender has what you need. Take a head like the Super-Sonic 60 Tube Guitar Amp Head or the Bassman Pro 100T Tube Bass Amp Head, pair it up with a cab such as the Super-Sonic 60 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet or Bassman Pro 810 Neo Bass Speaker Cabinet, and you'll be ready to crank it up to '11' even in the biggest venues.

Once you've got your amp situation sorted out, the next thing to take care of is your effects loop. This will probably be the most personalized part of your setup: it's all about you, your signature sound, and the effects you want. Check out the Fender Classic Series Phaser Pedal, for instance, if you like modern design with an old-school look and sound. It looks like it came right out of the 1970s, but it's got some innovative features like a top-mounted rate knob that's big enough to turn with your foot. If you've got limited real estate on your pedalboard, you'll also appreciate Fender's Micro series, which are about half the size of a traditional stompbox. And no guitarist should miss the Competition series, loaded with essential effects like chorus, distortion and overdrive, all decked out with cool racing-stripe paint jobs.

Granted, it may not actually be a race - but, even so, nobody could call Fender amplifiers and effects anything else but winners. When you want to play it louder and better, this is the place to gear up before you hit the stage or studio. It doesn't matter if you play Fender instruments, either: their amps and effects will play nice with any guitar or bass in your collection.
