Expand your rig beyond your wildest dreams.

The Shotgun™ is a compact guitar-level signal buffer designed to drive up to four amplifiers simultaneously and fit nicely on any pedalboard. It features two inputs with a switching jack on input-2 that - when connected - changes the architecture from a 1x4 mono distribution system to a 2x2 stereo setup. The Shotgun is equipped with CLC™ – Radial's unique Consistent Load Compensation circuit that retains a stable input impedance to ensure the character of the signal remains unchanged, no matter if you use one or two sources.

Inside, a carefully designed low noise buffer circuit with a full-surface ground plane delivers your tone farther—up to 50 feet (15 meters) without noise. This is augmented with isolation transformers on outputs 2, 3 and 4 to help eliminate the nasty buzz and hum caused by ground loops when multiple amps are connected together. And like all Radial products, the Shotgun is made tough to handle the rigors of professional touring. Powering is done using standard 9V supply or multi-pedal power brick.

When used in the 1x4 mono-mode, the Shotgun will effortlessly drive multiple amplifiers, direct box outputs and modeling amplifiers at the same time. In 2x2 stereo-mode, you can connect the output from your stereo chorus to the Shotgun and drive two or four amps in stereo, in phase, without noise.

  • Inputs: two 1/4 in.
  • Outputs: four 1/4 in.
  • Configurable for 1x4 mono or 2x2 stereo
  • Isolated outputs eliminate ground loops
  • Buffered outputs drive extra long cables
  • CLC™ Consistent Load Compensation circuit
  • Made in Canada

Comments about Radial Engineering Shotgun 4 Channel Amp Driver:

I have put together a great stage and sound set up. My guitar goes into a Wampler Ego comressor pedal then to the Shotgun to split my signal four directions. First is to the Ve 8 vocalizer and acoustic guitar pedal. Then second to a SY300 synthesizer to add color. Third to a GP10 for effects and pre amp. Fourth to my Trio+ for added bass and drumparts. Then out of those four to a Mackie 12 channel board. The outputs of the mixer goes to a pair of Goracks to a pair of Fender Expos.
I tried to daisy chain all the pedals but by the second split the guitar was too degraded. The signals would come out of sync and it just did not sound right. The Shotgun allows each unit to get an equivalent signal. There is no time issues or phase issues to deal with. The line outs of the pedals can go to the board or to different amps without any phase issues. Not all the pedals go at the same time but they can. I am set up for acoustic, electric or midi guitar depending on the song. There was a method to my madness and the Shotgun lets me carry my side of the show with one setup. Just choose which guitar to plug in and go.
