Supro, a pioneering rock & roll brand established in Chicago (1935-1968), is famous for its amplifiers and guitars used by legends like Led Zeppelin and David Bowie. Revived in 2014, Supro continues to produce vintage-inspired tube amps and analog pedals, preserving its iconic sound. The original amps are celebrated for their Class A, all-tube configuration and distinctive Art Deco design. Modern Supro amps integrate vintage elements with advanced technology and high-quality components. Since its acquisition by Bond Audio in 2020, Supro, alongside D’Angelico Guitars and Pigtronix, has embarked on a new chapter, expanding its research, design, and global distribution.
The Supro amplifier line delivers the brand’s renowned Class A, all-tube tone across a versatile range of combos, heads, and cabinets. The Black Magick Reverb, Montauk, and Delegate Custom combos each offer warm break-up, spring reverb, and modern conveniences like master volume controls and custom speakers. Amp heads, including the Royal Head, Black Magick Reverb Head, and Black Magick Head, cater to diverse wattage needs—from 25-watt Class A to 50-watt Class AB—while retaining Supro’s signature tube-driven sound and vintage Art Deco styling. For added stage power, the Royale Cabinet, Black Magick Cab 1x12, and Black Magick Cab 2x12 feature custom BD12 speakers that blend classic Supro punch with refined clarity.
Supro’s pedal lineup brings authentic analog tones to your pedalboard. The Tremolo pedal recreates coveted 1960s tube-based modulation, while the Flanger and Chorus pedals provide studio-quality stereo effects, including a double-flanger mode and lush, hi-fidelity chorus. The Delay pedal offers up to 600ms of warm, vintage-style echo, and the Drive pedal emulates the harmonic richness of a Class A Supro amp from input to output transformer. Each pedal is designed to capture the timeless spirit of Supro’s heritage while delivering the reliability demanded by today’s guitarists.
Supro’s legendary tone has attracted a stellar roster of artists, including rock icons Joe Perry, Billy Gibbons, and Lenny Kravitz. Other notable names—like Davide Pannozzo, Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), Cory Wong, KT Tunstall, Julian Lage, Earl Slick, Vernon Reid, The Cure, Paul Simon, Joe Walsh, Robbie Krieger, and Richard Fortus—also rely on Supro gear for studio and stage. Joining the Supro community means aligning with a heritage of innovation and sonic excellence prized by some of music’s most influential players.
