Jackson JS Series guitars take an epic leap forward, making it easier than ever to get classic Jackson tone, looks and speedy playability without breaking the piggy bank. The new Dinky “Minion” JS1X is ideal for lil’ shredders or grownup road dogs who need an easy-traveling instrument jam-packed with the features they love.

The 2/3-scale JS1x Dinky has a poplar body, speedy bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement, and 12”-radius rosewood fingerboard which hosts 24 jumbo frets and Jackson’s classic sharkfin inlays.

Comments about Jackson JS Series Dinky Minion JS1X Electric Guitar:

I've read other reviews about this guitar and people need to realize that guitars that are shipped are not tuned to pitch...get over it. Mine arrived a little below half a step. Since the scale length is 22.5" the standard 9's on the guitar are not doing it any favors. I strung it up with Cleartone Heavy Series 11-56, filed the nut to accept the new gauge, filed 3 frets that had sprouts, adjusted the neck relief, double checked the string height (which was to my liking) and slightly adjusted the intonation. Now she's a screamer and I have a perfect travel/practice guitar that I could actually gig with if I had to.

The pups are a bit hot, pretty sure they are using ceramic magnets for these. The pots actually work like they are supposed to meaning you don't have to turn them 7/8 of the way then they work. I've had a more expensive guitar with worse electronics on it than this thing has. I did find three black paint specks in the paint on the back of the guitar, not really a big deal since I expect so wear when I go traveling with it. It's also very light and it should be considering it's size. The tuners do what they are supposed to. The bridge is basic but at least the saddles are of the modern design to reduce string breakage.

Remember people it's a hundred and fifty bones for this guitar so it will need a few adjustments to meet your standards. I'm very happy with it and I think I may buy the Rhoads Minion next.
