I wanted a guitar to practice that I could carry around without worrying too much if it fell or got hit.. I placed the order, and a few days later it arrived.I did not look at it very closely, but I like the sunburst looks very much. The cheapest thing I could notice were the tuning machines, but still they seem to hold tuning quite well.So I got home, plugged it into my little PA by itself, and well, it sounded really nice!I have a Yamaha Guitar that was 5 times more expensive and I gotta say that even if they are meant so sound different, this inexpensive beginners guitar really sounds great, even with the stock strings!, then I tried my old little digitech RP50 and I gotta say I liked the guitar even better. All in all, I am happy that I made this purchase, I already had more guitars that I need not being a pro or even that good of a player, but this really was a surprisingly nice addition to my small arsenal of guitars.

It is a good guitar for a beginner because it is cheap and sounds ok. The pickup switch location annoys me personally as i often hit it when I play. The pickups buzz quite a bit, but only when the switch is in certain positions. Note that if you remove the tremolo bar it will be nearly impossible to keep in tune. Mine broke off (normal use after a week, the thing seems cheap) and I ended up having to put a shim into the back in order to stabilize the bridge. Overall decent beginner guitar, but anything more than a beginner will want better quality and sound.

I bought this guitar about 2 to 3 years ago as my first guitar. It's a good beginner guitar but there's so much buzz on the lower strings and it feels kind of cheap but I couldn't tell at the time but hey, what do you expect for $80? This is probably the best beginner guitar pack that isn't like $200. I moved on to better guitars throughout the years so I might give it to one of my siblings if they take an interest in guitar.

Great value and sound right out of the box. Even with the factory strings it sounds and play great. Quiet pickups when idle. The action was spot on, a smooth fast neck and in the #2 position, sounds like my Telecaster. All in all a great starter. Only flaw was the nut for the cord plug was loose.

Could be better

This is my first electric guitar, so i'm not an expert on electric guitars, but here's my observations. This is an AXL guitar that is an incredible price. The pickups are quiet, and it has a nice 5 position selector switch. The bad is that the nut is a cheapo, the tremolo bridge has a very very small buzz on the first 3 strings that doesn't seem to be picked up by the amp. When it came, two of the wires that went to the tone knobs were crossed and they were shorting each other out. That was easily fixed. I play this through a Line 6 amp, and it sounds great. Good starter guitar.

Way Better than expected

By Dmachine999

I lost everything. So I bought this just to get back in practice, thinking it would be a junk guitar for the price. Man I was wrong. Yeah you do have to set it up, the action needed lowering and the intonation was a little off but that is to be expected. I have played and owner 200 and 300 dollar fenders that this guy out performs. I mean you can't get a walmart guitar for less than 95 dollars. This guitar is as good or better than 200 dollar fenders at least the one they sent me is.

I bought this guitar with the intent of upgrading it and using it as a studio guitar. For that its perfect. Its an alder body, and it resonates great. The neck is kinda cheap but it still feels and plays great. I dont know how they afford to sell this for this price. Its awesome. Pickups are aight, but im gonna put a dual rail duncan in the bridge. Hardware is also kinda cheap, but what can you expect for this price. Also the strings completley suck. If you know how to set up guitars this is a great buy, or if your a beginner. I cant wait to record with it, sounds great and awesome if your on a budget (Im actually mainly a bass player and only spend all my money on bass stuff haha). BUY IT WHILE U CAN!

Made me look more into AXL guitars

By Bedford

After I took the tremelo off (didn't want it anyway), took the back off and adjusted the springs, and adjusted the bridge it stayed in tune perfectly and plays great! Even if you do use the tremelo I still recommend adjusting the springs in the back it wouldn't stay in tune at all the way it was set. After seeing the guitar actually had a brand (in the pictures it didn't) I looked into AXL Guitars they have some pretty cool looking ones! I'll probably buy more in the future!
