Is the next logical evolution step for a wireless system, it's so simple to use, and works like a charm, just as advertised. Worked perfect on rehearsals and on stage. It's an amazing device and I know I'm going to use it all the time from now on. I guess I better store my Monster cables. If you're thinking on getting a wireless system, just buy this little guys, they're just perfect!

I acquired this product about a year ago. The design, concept and price was very exciting to me. It worked flawlessly at first. Then started to notice lots of dropouts. The cause of the problem was interference from my wireless router, or cell phones or Bluetooth devices. I contacted the manufacturer, they sent me a replacement unit to rule out a defective unit but the problem persisted. I tested a line 6 relay and never had a problem with it in the same spots as I did with the X2. I kept the unit for practice at home only. Would never bring the X2 to a live performance setting since in today's world we have competing wireless signals all over and this device does not handle them well. I really hope Xvive comes out with a newer version that handles this better.

Constant dropouts, this will interfere with your home wireless router.
Dropouts less noticeable when you set up a slap back delay. This is good for home, but I would never use this for live performance.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I have not been able to use this product with any success. It has makes a random crackling noise which seems worse when strumming cords. It does this on all 4 channels. Single notes seems to play better. This poor sound quality was a surprise to me as most of the commits here are positive. I am still trying to get a replacement from XVIVE to correct the issue. I hope I just got a lemon.

Have used theses on two three hour gigs. Worked great on stage. Did recharge between gigs but didn't after last one. Continued to use them in studio for about four hours, battery still good. Will recharge before tonight's gig.what I like is the ability to use it on all three guitars I play at gigs....no chords..clean stage with ability to move around without twisted chords or tripping

No 60 cycle hum on my Tell thru a all tube amp! My favorite feature!
Excellent quality and it tucks away nicely on the guitar and amp with it's fold up feature.
      Highly recommend!

Good lord some of the reviews sound like they were written by Prima Donnas. Let's keep it simple the product works well for me and I have no issues with it, I have had wireless systems that cost much much more and suffered drop outs ( it's the nature of the beast) I have never had a drop out with this product, One person was complaining "they are made of plastic!" well if they were aircraft quality steel they would cost a LOT more. .It's a good product at a great price Nuff said .

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I use the product for home and live use at a small/medium-sized church. I have tested it with both my passive Ibanez guitar and my active 5-String StingRay bass. So far I notice no tone difference vs. a cable or any introduced noise. I know that other reviews I have read state varying experience, so your mileage may vary.

My only criticism so far is that occasionally the unit doesn't seem to respond when I double click to change the channel. But a second attempt usually works.

            Service and delivery comments:

Prompt delivery and good packaging. Website experienced was mixed---I kept getting logged out as I tried to purchase.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I bought these to use with my mandolin that has K & K minis as a pickup. Between this and my 2 guitars the cords get pretty cluttered so it seemed like a good idea to try it out. This system works great and is easy to use. It's taken me a while to get used to not looking for a cord so I don't trip, but I'm getting there. I've used it for two performances so far and my duo partner borrowed it to try it out with his guitar. This is an inexpensive and functional option for those of us with a passive pickup system who want to try out a wireless option

Wanted to love it and when it works - it is GREAT! Would not function on several of my acoustic electric guitars (Breedlove, Alvarez and Fender) but did work on my Taylor, Gretsch and Seagull) Would make a screeching howl buzz when plugged into the first 3 guitars. Will be returning it. Pricey but very cool idea.

Some more break up than with cords directly when strummIn with power. Not as compressed of a sound when used with my compression pedal. Some loss in volume compared to straight line in sound. It does change your tone a bit. I'm using it with pedals and a tube amp so I get kinda bothered by the slightly weaker tone I Get

Purchased this to use at church and also in a local band I play with. The unit makes a horrible buzz on 4 of of my acoustic/electric guitars - Breedlove, Ibenez, Alverez and Fender. Does not make a buzz and works properly on my Taylor, Gretch and a SeaGull acoustic/electric. Very disappointed as the guitars I use at church are the ones that it will not function on. Could not find any online references to help with my problem. Changing channels was a nightmare - Not intuitive at all. Would not recommend to a friend or buy again. Try BEFORE you buy!

We rarely play the same venue twice in a row so it's nice to get out in front of the stage and hear the mix prior to the gig. It's a great way to help a soundman who is unfamiliar with our band get everything dialed in.

I had to return the 1st one after the low battery light would flash after about 5 min. I tried to contact the company (don't bother) 5 emails and 6 phone calls later, nothing. I returned the product and got a new one and I have had no issues, works as described.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I have used this for practice at home and at one private gig at this point. It fired up right away out of the box already paired. I was very happy that it was plug-and-play with a good charge (about five hours so far). At the gig I went about 30ft away to do a quick gut check on the band mix, one of the main reasons I wanted a wireless option. Worked well for that, though I did detect it starting to drop a bit when I broke line of sight. On a stage I would expect that to not ever be a problem. For tone and latency, I couldn't tell a difference from my regular cable. This is a great value relative to the usual suspects higher end modules, and one of the best advantages of the Xvive is the extreme compactness...I can use it with any of my amps, any of my pedalboards, and I can even give it to the guitar player so he can go out and listen for soundcheck.

I bought these for practice at home. I was worried because there are some bad reviews about interference from WiFi routers, and I have lots of wireless devices, including wireless satellite receivers and WiFi router and range extenders. After a quick charge, selecting a channel, and plugging in, they work as promised, perfect, no noise, no delay, no drop out, just as if I was using a cable. no issues.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

The XVive U2 2.4 GHz wireless guitar system works flawlessly. It has excellent battery life (approximately 5 hours of continuous use), adds no perceptible noise ("fizziness") to your signal, and has enough range that you can get so far from your amp that you'll experience speed-of-sound lag. And the 24-bit, 48 kHz, uncompressed sampling gives you high enough quality for professional-quality recording of live performances - or even studio sessions.

Both transmitter and receiver are compact, lightweight, and unobtrusive, and the jack's position on both is adjustable over a 120-degree range, so they should fit any guitar and any amp you throw at them.

                              The bad news is:

                              a. There's no real warning that your battery is about to quit. It just quits. (There IS a warning. The red light begins to blink. But, if you're like me, you probably won't notice it, because you're focused on PLAYING.)

                              b. With the 2.4 GHz spectrum becoming increasingly crowded, interference from wifi, in particular, can be an issue. To protect your signal at home or in the studio, don't position your amp in such a way that your router is in line-of-sight with the U2's receiver (the amp itself can shield the receiver from interference, as long as the router is behind it). In a live context where there are lots of smartphones in the audience, it may be more problematic. However, the U2 system includes selector switches on both receiver and transmitter that allow you to choose between 3 different 2.4 GHz frequencies (both transmitter and receiver MUST be set to the same frequency!), so if you experience interference on the default setting switching your transmitter and receiver to one of the other two frequencies may fix the problem.

For some reason, XVive charges extra for colors other than silver. (So, buy the silver, unless a color more to your taste goes on sale!)

There's no better wireless option in this price range.

I like mine so much I bought two sets, so I always have a backup available ...

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I have an X2 wireless system for my many bass guitars, I use different types of straps on different models, so I have to move the transmitter module from one strap to the next strap when changing guitars and "re-plug" the module into my next guitar.(not bad, but what an improvement with the U2!). The U2 is so small and portable(both transmitter and receiver will fit into your shirt pocket!), and easy to move from guitar to guitar. PLUS the X2 transmitter can be "rough" on 9V batteries(I use a 110 power supply for the receiver) while the U2 transmitter and receiver uses no "throw away" batteries and can both be recharged with a simple USB port simultaneously, giving you another 5 hours of playing time. I read the reviews about some WIFI issues, but have had no problems personally with that issue. I could not be happier with this upgrade in my wireless rig and with this purchase, I only wish I could have had it YEARS ago!
