Comments about Randall RD5H Diavlo 5W Tube Guitar Head:

At full gain, and 2/3 volume it gets some good, natural sounding distortion. Gets enough distortion for old-school thrash. If you need more, just put an OD pedal in front.

I would have liked to have a knob for the mids instead of the 3-way swtich. But, this amp sounds great for the price! Suprisingly loud for a 5-watter. Probably not loud enough to jam with a drummer. But loud enough to annoy any and all roomates.

Great tube warmth and developed by Mike Fortin this keeps up with my 6505 mh 20 watt head it just gives me a little bit different sounds with the 6v6 power section.

Picked mine up used I already have a peavey 6505 mh 1/5/20 watt and it's great but I also love this thing running it through a single greenback celestion 1x12 and sometimes a 1x12 pair

Comments about Randall RD5H Diavlo 5W Tube Guitar Head:

I bought this along was a v30 loaded randall 1x12. Took some getting use to after using a B52 cab for years. Threw a SM57 dead center speaker and was amazed at the sound I got. What used to take hours fine tuning to get a decent tone, took seconds and far exceeded my expectations.
