Reed was easy to play right out of the box, no break-in period needed, although it played even better over time. I will buy this Reed again.

Comments about Andreas Eastman Bassoon Reeds:
I usually use Emerald reeds (hard) and split a new one down the middle at a recent concert - never happened to me in 30 years! Ordered this Andreas Eastman reed (hard) and it didn't take as long to break in. Sound quality is very good. May have to get these from now on!

Comments about Andreas Eastman Bassoon Reeds:
It is very difficult to find Hard reeds and my son insists he needs a hard reed. Good quality and nice sound.
